I know it’s been a while since I’ve shown my face at this blog, but I’m trying to be better at updating now that the summer is upon us. To kick off the summer, I first discussed my experience with Mr. Terry Pratchett in my last post. Since that post, some sad news has surfaced about Pratchett’s decision to pursue assisted suicide rather than see out the rest of his life under the cloud of Alzheimer’s. I won’t weigh in on his decision, I’ll only say that this is sad news and the world is sure to miss a phenomenal author like Terry Pratchett.
Now I think it’s time for an update on what’s been added to my bookshelves. Before the Terry Pratchett update here, my last post had been written in January. Between then and now, I have obviously added more books to my collection. I’ve been given gifts and bookstore gift cards and, as always, I’ve simply gone out and treated myself to my drug of choice — books. So, here are the newest books residing in my room.
